Hey there, I’m Brook the founder and creator of True North Kids. I have been dreaming of opening my own shop for years since I was 18 and became a store manager at a local retailer. Once I accomplished that, I realized that I had a great passion for design. I knew that my business would take time and dedication, however I didn’t know how much. There were a few times that I tried out different types of design and I never really succeeded. I realized what my biggest challenge was, myself!
4 years have gone by since my last go at a small business, and I have now figured out what the next step is and that’s just doing what I believe is going to do well. Sell what sells, put your dreams out there because if you don’t then you will always wonder what if!
Also a big part is to have self discipline but also recognize the value and seasons that you have gone through in the years of building a business. Life doesn’t stop while you are building your dreams. Just believe in yourself and put your best efforts and then you will never regret not trying! And enjoy the process. As a mom of two and someone who has moved back and forth countries over 6 years, enjoy the journey! If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. My children are my motivation, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make sure they know their mom was always there but also followed her dreams.
